The Story
A dessert bowl manufactured and released during the 1940’s by Simpsons Potters Ltd as part of their Ambassador Ware series. The attractive item is decorated in Simpsons Potters “Chetwynd” pattern. The pattern incorporates a series of polka dots crowning a fluted and scalloped rim with a weave work motif embossed into the porcelain. A garland of tan leaves with gorgeous golden yellow and orange-red tulips in the process of blooming is the patterning used.
The bowl is stamped underneath Chetwynd Simpsons Potters Ltd Ambassador Ware England.
The bowl has a chip underneath the rim, not visible from the top.
